You can tell when a bachelor has settled into his environment. Nature photographers would have a tough time finding a camera nest through the empty pizza boxes, the cluttered furniture, the stacks of junk mail piled on chairs and the cobweb jungle thicker than Amazon vines.

So how do you know if you have settled in?

When you sit in the dark, watching television, with the remote control fitting perfectly on the shelf between you stomach and chest.
